A credit union is an organisation of people, for people. It exists only to serve its members and not to profit from their needs. St. Michael’s Credit Union is a democratic, financial co-operative owned and controlled by its members. We serve the financial needs of the community on a not for profit basis and have been doing so since 1963. The credit union philosophy is based on the idea of the community pooling their savings together to offer members the chance to have control over their own finances by making their own savings work for them.
Our mission is to promote the financial well-being of our members. To achieve this purpose, we are committed to providing a broad range of innovative financial products supported by the excellent service of a dedicated, well-trained staff. Each credit union is owned by people like you, the members, who both save with, and borrow from it.
